Self Catering Cottages at Coombe Farm
Available to rent at Coombe Farm are three self-catering cottages - Mixit, Fixit and Break House, that have been sensitively converted from an L-shaped barn, and encompass many of the original features such as exposed beams and stone pillars. Each of the cottages is fully equipped with modern appliances and has exclusive use of the indoor swimming pool and games room.
You are welcome to fish (at half price) in the three well stocked coarse fishing lakes (tench, bream, roach and carp - 25lbs the largest, so far!). Superb indoor swimming pool (29’ x 11’ x 4’ deep, open 7am to 9pm or 24hrs if all cottages booked together), changing room with shower-room (suite) all in the barn behind the two larger cottages and below the good games room with table tennis, pool table. At the far end of the swimming pool barn is the cottage for two. Payphone outside the pool building. The Hen House fitness, health and beauty centre on site has an extremely well-equipped gym as well as a team of highly qualified therapists in beauty, massage and holistic therapies.
The cottages are beside a stream-valley meadow, separate from but near the farmyard (occasional cow-watching), with the owners’ fine 16th cent. house in which they do B&B at the far end of the yard. Each cottage has its own patio (chairs, barbecue), tubs, troughs, stream; they share the large flat lawn beside and games room. Inside, the furnishings are colourful, pleasing; all original paintings; the rooms are bright, light and fun. Tiled floors mainly downstairs, bedrooms carpeted.
If you are staying at Coombe Farm, we recommend booking appointments for the Hen House, Fitness, Health and Beauty Centre, well in advance to your arrival to avoid any disappointment.

Attached to Break House is smaller; entrance from walled patio to well-equipped kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, fridge-freezer); downstairs twin or 6' double bedroom with en suite shower-room (suite). Stairs from kitchen (stair gate) to lovely ceiling-to-apex living room (wood burner, CD player), with polished wooden floor, rug, French windows and wrought iron railings. Off it, a 6' double or twin bedroom with en suite bathroom (suite), French windows, wrought iron railings.

Four bedrooms - sleeps 8.
Entrance via the excellently equipped, smart fitted kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, freezer, larder fridge, tumble drier on landing), with refectory dining table and back door to small patio, swimming pool and the games room. Archway to the charming sunny living room with two sets of French windows (wood burner, CD player). Downstairs, a bedroom with two single beds (French windows) with en suite shower-room (suite, with additional door to living room). Upstairs (stair gates), three more bedrooms, all with twin or 6' double beds, French windows (railings) and ceilings open to the apex, two with en suite shower-rooms (suites), one with en suite bathroom (suite plus hand-shower). Two have lovely views over the valley. Suitable for partially disabled.

Converted from another barn, is at the far end of the farmyard, separate access beyond the owners’ farmhouse with own small sitting-out area (table/chairs, barbecue) and next door (well insulated) to the swimming pool and games room. Open-plan living (wood burner)/dining/fitted kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave) with beams to apex and stripped floors with rugs (CD player). Stairs down to a double bedroom (6’ double or twin) with French windows and bathroom (suite plus separate shower). No children, except pre-crawling babies.
